our personal biography...
We were raised in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Although we lived only a few blocks apart we didn't know each other during our youth, as there was five years difference in age and we attended different schools. We first met through mutual friends (match-makers, actually) when Carol was an undergraduate student at the University and Tony had recently returned from his
service in Viet Nam with the United States Marine Corps.
After a
short courtship and engagement we were married in 1971. We've been
married for thirty-five years now - our anniversary is June 12th...yes, Carol was a June bride.
Tony worked a factory job while Carol completed her Bachelors Degree - in only 3½ years. When Carol graduated and took her first professional position with a local television station as their traffic manager, Tony started his undergraduate education with the help of the G.I. Bill and Carol's first job.
Having no useful purpose for Wisconsin Winters, Carol & Tony moved to the Sun-Belt city of Austin, Texas in 1975. There we established careers in Customer Relations
Management and Landscape Contracting. After moving to Louisville we missed the cuisine of Central Texas until we found Ernesto's for "Tex-Mex" and now, with the opening of Famous Dave's, we also have a source for Texas style Bar-B-Que...beef brisket slow smoked with a Mesquite wood fire. Mmmmmm-good!

We have two boys, Chris, age 25 and Nick, age 23 (the nurses at the maternity ward lied when they told us - by the fetal heart rate - that they were going to be girls). That maternity ward was, of course, in Texas making Chris and Nick native "Texicans" while Carol and Tony can only claim to be "naturalized".

We have two dogs, "Wendy", a pure bred Black Labrador Retriever and "Buddy" a Black Lab and Boxer mix. Unlike our children, the dogs are spoiled rotten.
Carol's employment with a manufacturer of class rings and graduation announcements brought our family to Louisville in 1998. After 22 years with the same company, Carol was "down sized" in a company re-organization. When life hands you lemons...make lemonade. Carol took that opportunity to train, test for and receive her Kentucky Real Estate Salesperson's License, joining Semonin
Realtors some months later. And as Tony had previously been a REALTOR® in Wisconsin, he also trained, tested and followed Carol to Semonin
Realtors to make up the Kueber Team.
In 2006 we took the opportunity to join Tony
Avery at his brand new company, Avery Realty LLC. This being a much
smaller "shop" than our previous company affords us the flexibility to better
represent our clients, both buyers and sellers.
